A brokerage relationship, stated clearly. On this page, Outside The Wire Logistics acts as a property broker. We arrange transportation with independent motor carriers rather than presenting brokerage service as company-owned capacity.

What the brokerage desk handles

From a one-time shipment to a recurring lane.

The work starts with the shipment requirements, not a generic promise. Route, timing, equipment, handling and facility access are reviewed before OTW confirms a final rate or accepts a tender.

01 / Spot freight

Cover a load without losing the details.

Send the lane, freight, timing and delivery requirements. OTW reviews the shipment, sources an appropriate carrier and confirms the final terms in writing before the load moves.

02 / Dedicated lanes

Build the schedule before the first pickup.

For recurring freight, we document pickup days, delivery timing, weekly volume, equipment needs and contract length. Capacity and pricing are confirmed after the complete lane is reviewed.

03 / Freight quoting

Start with an estimate. Finish with a written rate.

Use the calculator for an initial estimate, or send the load directly to David. Automated figures are planning estimates. A binding rate is issued only after route and shipment review.

04 / Carrier sourcing and vetting

Check the carrier before tender.

OTW reviews operating authority, insurance, identity, equipment fit and available safety information before assigning a third-party carrier. Special access and cargo requirements are checked against the load.

05 / Shipper communication

Know who owns the next update.

David remains the shipper-facing contact. Pickup, in-transit status, exceptions and proof of delivery are coordinated through one desk, with the update schedule set when the load is confirmed.

How a quote works

Four steps from load details to written confirmation.

The online tool helps organize the shipment. It does not commit either party or replace a reviewed rate confirmation.

Enter the shipment

Provide the route, weight, equipment, timing and handling requirements that affect the work.

Review the estimate

See a planning estimate and the assumptions used. Adjust the load details if something is missing.

Send the request

Add company and contact information so David can review the load and carrier requirements.

Receive a final rate

OTW validates the route, equipment fit and carrier availability, then confirms the binding rate in writing.
