Privacy Policy
This policy describes the Outside The Wire Android game, package com.outsidethewiregames.outsidethewire, provided by Outside The Wire Logistics LLC. It does not replace the privacy disclosures for our freight services, CarrierOS, or other websites.
Your campaign stays on your device. The current game requires no player account, contains no advertising or analytics SDK, and does not send gameplay or personal data to our servers. Real-money purchases are not enabled.
Information stored in the game
The game saves campaign progress, Marine and vehicle assignments, upgrades, mission results, earned rewards, and preferences in local app storage. This information is used to run and resume your game. The app does not request access to your contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, photos, or advertising identifier.
Collection and sharing
The current Android app does not transmit local game data off your device, operate player accounts or cloud saves, or include third-party advertising and tracking services. We do not receive or sell your local campaign data. Google Play and Android may separately process store, device, or diagnostic information under Google's own policies; this is distinct from data sent by the game. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Storage, security, and deletion
Game data remains in the app's local storage until you reset or remove it. Starting a new campaign resets campaign progress. To remove all local game data and preferences, use Android Settings → Apps → Outside The Wire → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the app. These actions can permanently erase progress. The current app has no developer-operated backup or account from which we can restore it; Android app backup is disabled.
The app uses Android's app storage isolation, loads bundled game files, and blocks remote content inside the game. Protect your device with its lock and security updates. No device or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Support and privacy requests
If you voluntarily email us, we receive your email address and the contents and attachments you send. We use that information to respond to your request, with our email service provider processing it to deliver and store the correspondence. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or sensitive documents. Support correspondence is kept only as needed to handle the request and any applicable legal obligations. You may ask us to delete correspondence by contacting David@outsidethewirelogistics.com; we will explain any applicable retention requirement.
Purchases and poker
In-app purchases and payment processing are not enabled in this release. We do not collect payment-card details in the game. Poker uses free virtual chips with no cash value: they cannot be bought, transferred, or redeemed. If future features change how information is processed, this policy and the Google Play disclosures will be updated before those features launch.
Children
The game includes fictional military combat and simulated poker and is not designed for young children. The current game does not collect personal information from players. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support, contact us to request its deletion.
This website and external services
Visiting this policy or our business website is separate from playing the offline game. Our website is hosted by Squarespace, which processes website traffic and technical information under its own policies. Business website forms may request contact and freight details; they are not needed to play the game. See Squarespace's Privacy Policy. External websites and services have their own privacy practices.
